It could only be in Heidi's world
All the stereotypes about Switzerland are not exageration but rather a good reflection of reality. And to illustrate the almost surreal world we live in, a tale from the radio, this morning.
In Fribourg there is this guy with some sort of disability receiving help from the government to support his family. An important but very Swiss detail is that the guy had a Porsche. Had as in the past because once the government found out that the poor handicaped man was going around in a Porsche they immediately cut his help out. Then he, the taxpayer cheater, in hopes of getting the paychecks he used to get back, sold my dream car. The government even reconsidered his case, but declined to pay off for any more allowance. The answer was that while they thought to be helping to support a family, they were actually paying for Porsche maintanance, and that was the end of the deal.
Learning Lesson: Don't ever lie to a Swiss. You may end up less rich and without your Porsche.
My question: Think I might get a subsidy for Porsche frustration disability?
